The 24-70 is nice portraiture due to the background separation you get when shooting wide open, but the 24-105 gives you access to that 70-105 focal length range, which is fantastic for I love my RF 24-105 F4. For me the main advantage of the 24-70 F2.8 would be to limit DoF when needed. But I'd rather have the lighter weight lens for walking around. Unless you are planning to make wall-size prints, the difference in IQ or the 1 stop wider opening won't make a significant difference. How does a R6 & 24-105 f4 setup feel for traveling? Moving away from my current a7iii - 28-75mm lineup. Incredibly light setup for FF. I’ve gotten to hold the r6 ii which feels pretty nice. The lens comes in at 670g which is pretty light considering the old EF mount zooms were in the 900g ranges. The Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM is the most affordable zoom lens for the R system, and one of the smallest and lightest full-frame zooms you can get for any camera. MSRP $399.00. $399.00 at I would chose the Canon RF 24-240mm lens instead. I feel it performs comparably to this lens in the same focal range, but gives you a little higher performance at the 70-105mm range due to a lower aperture. I also would appreciate the extra 100+mm of zoom it affords. The next question is, how does this stack up to the RF 24-105mm f4 L? The Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM covers a bigger zoom range than any other lens for the system, but it makes some sacrifices to get there. Weight: 1.7 lb Filter Thread: 72 mm Mount: Canon
